Like a vintage Margaux, Clearbrook continues to improve with age. Rounder, smoother, fuller ...mature, elegant & full-bodied! In its 80+ years (founded in 1926) it's undergone countless updates that have touched literally every hole. The traditional close-cut, narrow fairways and smooth, fast, smaller greens are styled after America's original classic resort courses, and still make Clearbrook the challenge and joy to play that it is. At a ripe-old age, what was once traditional ... has now become classic! In 2011, Clearbrook again transformed. The bulldozers were activated to completely reconstruct both the #11 & #12 greens and their surrounding areas. The result has been overwhelming, and so has the response. And not to be outdone, March 2012 was then the start of Phase II ... remodeling both the 2nd and 3rd holes ... with newly contoured and elevated fairways (up out of the low marshy areas), the blind shots eliminated, and new, drought and stress resistant turf.
